The Butte County Fair is big enough to have lots to do and see but not so huge you can't find each other if you get separated. Brett's Uncle Mark was visiting for the weekend so we brought him along too.
Shirley & I were really excited to see the Budweiser Clydesdales who were just beautiful (and HUGE)! The animals were cows and bunnies and chickens & alpaca were fun to see as well. But the majority of our party was totally excited about the rides! This year, Grandma Shirley bought the kids wristbands in advance so they could go on unlimited rides - so they went on ride after ride after ride. Mark, Brett & I went on a few rides with the kids (and poor Mark got himself sick from the spinning & the heat.) But even when it was time to go home, they were still wanting to go on "just one more ride, please..."
At the end of our day at the fair, we went to an live auction where they were auctioning off wood carvings & we bought a bear to be the mascot of the Bear Den. Even though it was loud at the auction, Phineas fell asleep on Brett's lap during the auction- he was THAT tired!
